Blessed George Napier is a popular, over-subscribed, Catholic school in North Oxfordshire with an excellent reputation for both academic achievement and student welfare. The school is part of The Pope Francis MAC which is a successful and growing Catholic Multi Academy Company situated in Oxfordshire. Our schools stretch from Thame, just north of the Chiltern Hills, to Banbury and Chipping Norton, on the edge of the Cotswolds.
Reporting to the Headteacher the Board of Directors, in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Birmingham, seek to appoint a practising and committed Catholic Deputy Headteacher. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the school’s senior leadership team and will work with a highly skilled and committed team of middle leaders and pastoral staff, in securing outstanding behaviour and attitudes across the school, including safeguarding, inclusion and attendance.
This is an exciting time to join our school as we complete our new build and plan for future expansion. This project will provide a new teaching block, including three new science labs, a Sixth Form area and a new purpose-built assembly hall accommodating the whole school community – something which is very important to us.

Cover Supervisor - To commence as soon as possible
32.5 hours per week, term-time only. 08:15 – 15:30, Monday to Friday
Grade 6, commencing point 8 [FTE £20,852 pa]. Actual salary equates to £15,255 per annum
An opportunity has arisen for a flexible, responsible individual to undertake this position. One of a team of two Cover Supervisors, the core responsibilities of this post are:-
• Conducting/supervising pre-planned lessons
• Managing behaviour
• Keeping pupils on task
• Providing appropriate guidance and advice, as and when needed
• Undertaking other tasks within the remit of the role when cover is not required
Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative and flexibility are essential.
Knowledge of the curriculum, behaviour management strategies and/or previous experience in a school or educational setting would be advantageous, although training and support will be provided.
