RE: Year 9 Parents` Evening – Tuesday 4th November 2008
I would like to advise you that there will be a Year 9 Parents` Evening on Tuesday 4th November from 4.00pm until 6.30pm.
Your child has an appointment form with time slots for your son/daughter to make appointments with his/her teachers. This is in the Planner, it is the student’s responsibility to see teachers and make appointments. This should be done during the normal lesson times with each teacher, where this is possible. Please check that appointments have been made on your behalf and bring the appointment form with you on the night. The evening will finish by 6.30pm and we ask for your co-operation in not making all appointments at the later times as this will delay the finish.
We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend. This will be the opportunity to discuss with teachers how the school year has gone so far. In order to make the evening run smoothly, could you please limit your session with each teacher to five minutes. As most pupils’ take ten subjects, if you managed to see all the teachers, this would add up to fifty minutes in total of consultation.
We have recently changed our assessment and reporting process and consider it necessary to rearrange the date of parents’ evenings. We hope that this will not cause you any inconvenience. Please refer to the school newsletter for further details or visit our website www.bgn.oxon.sch.uk.
As usual, we would also ask that you bring your child with you wearing full school uniform so that all concerned are involved in the consultations.
