When I first started at BGN in Year 7, one of the first events I took part in was the retreat to Alton Castle. It was at Alton Castle that I had a good opportunity to make new friends and get to know my year group and teachers better. When pupils move into year 11, they all have the chance to apply to become a prefect.
The perfect system is a great way for pupils to have responsibility within the school. It also gives them the opportunity to work within a group and possibly lead as a senior prefect in the 6th Form. As a prefect, I really enjoyed the ability to work within a group on a weekly basis.
Through the years, the school has had many sporting successes, which includes its new sports college status. Throughout the school, pupils are encouraged to take part in after school activities. With the newly built sports hall pupils are able to take part in a wide range of sports. One thing that I can credit the school for the most is the close relationship between its staff and pupils. Speaking from experience, this has been really important for me to achieve the best of my ability.
One of the best things I have done was to stay on at the Sixth Form at BGN. Due to the small size of the Sixth Form, you are able to achieve your best in a fun and welcoming environment.
