VENTUREFEST APPRENTICE

After our outstanding success last year, BGN once again entered a group of four Year 12 Business Studies students for the Enterprise Challenge Day at Science Oxford.

Chloe Glanville, Richard Lafferty, Sophie Wragg and Riezl Siret took part in the Challenge and learnt a lot from their experience.

`I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Science Oxford for the Venturefest Apprentice. The tasks really tested your skills in business as the product which was put forward to you had little information on it `reported Chloe. `I believe everyone who went learnt a lot from the talks throughout the day which covered a large range of topics from patenting to pitching. `Working with new people is always a good experience and helped with our communication and leadership skills, and in some cases working with some strong characters! `Overall, I believe it a worthwhile event for many students to take part in as it puts business theory into practice`.

At the end of the day, six students won the opportunity to take part in the Venturefest finals in July; Chloe was chosen as one of the finalists to compete for the title of `Venturefest Apprentice`.

Good luck Chloe!
