Art Department Introduction
Current projects include tone, line and colour studies, ceramic fish, paper sculpture and masks.
Students develop critical and aesthetic awareness as they are introduced to the work of other artists from different times, places and cultures and evaluate their own work through discussion...
Key Stage 4
At Key Stage 4, students are taught more advanced techniques such as larger scale painting and develop a more personal response.
Students are challenged to extend their practical work and under guidance, begin to take more responsibility for outcomes through self direction...
Years 12 & 13
Students are required to develop an independent body of work which is self directed.
In Year 12 students are introduced to a wide variety of techniques and consider problems that artists concern themselves with and how artists develop their ideas towards a realised piece of artwork...
