Dear Students,
HAITA APPEAL A PRAYER FOR HAITI
Loving God of creation,
at this time of devastation
we hold before you the people of Haiti.
When the damage is unimaginable,
and the suffering seems overwhelming,
remind us that every person affected
is loved, honoured and precious in your sight.
We remember all those who have been hurt;
all who have lost their homes, livelihoods and loved ones.
Work through us to bring healing
to broken and distorted lives,
peace to those who have been thrown into despair,
light to those in darkness,
and hope to those who fear.
We ask this in the name of Jesus
in whom all life and grace is found.
Amen
As well as praying, Mrs Weaver has asked each tutor group to think what we can do to raise money to help those affected by the earthquake. This type of appeal is an opportunity where Sixth Form students can really lead the school and positively make a difference … so lets get thinking and doing!!!!!

DRIVING LESSONS
As I outlined at the start of the year, driving lessons are a “grey area”. Ideally, I would not want any pupil to have driving lessons during the school day (as we all know, the school day is a short day and a working day!). However, I recognise that some of you do find it difficult to arrange appointments after school and you are working towards developing an important skill. Therefore, only as a last resort and with my permission, do you have a driving lesson during the school day. If you do, it is only in a non-contact period and not during either assembly slot. Thank you for remembering and respecting this request.
PARKING ON ADDISON ROAD
If you have your own car, please refrain from parking on Addison Road. Please see me is you have any concerns.

Please make sure you are present and on time for your duty. It is vital in the smooth running of the school. Also, please remember, most of you have included the responsibility on your UCAS application and it is only right that you honour your commitment at the start of the year.

Calling all budding engineers! Please pay attention in assembly this week as there is a great opportunity for students applying to any engineering degree (any discipline, from aeronautical to electrical) to apply for a range of bursaries from Banbury Rotary Club.
