Year 9 Option process evening

Dear Parent/Guardian

This is a reminder that the first meeting regarding the Year 9 Options process will take place next week on Thursday 13th October 2011 at 6.30 p.m. in the school hall.

The evening will consist of a presentation, during which we will outline the options process to you, explain about the Pathways offered at BGN and raise some of the local and national issues affecting the curriculum at KS4. Our aim is to give you the information you need to begin a discussion with your child about her/his KS4 choices and also to provide a much earlier opportunity for discussions with us about the most appropriate courses and pathway for your child.

This year the presentation will take place ahead of the Subject Options Evening on 19th January 2012. All departments will be represented in January and it is at this later meeting that you will have an opportunity to meet with the staff of different subjects and find out more about the specific courses which are available at BGN.
